The Churchyard Burial Service Fully Inclusive
We, at Shoobridge Funeral Services, pride ourselves on our clear, transparent and honest approach to pricing.
As such, we have designed four fully inclusive funeral services in addition to our bespoke price options.
Included in every service:
Our funeral services include as standard, all of the traditional services such as: preparing the deceased for Chapel of Rest visits; facilitating Chapel of Rest visits for family and friends; compiling and placing newspaper notices – obituaries and ‘Thanks’ acknowledgements; administration of charitable donations; ordering of floral tributes on behalf of clients, if required; home visits to arrange the funeral; conveying floral tributes to local hospitals, Care Homes or family homes following the funeral service and the collecting and temporary storage of cremated remains.
Personalising your service:
You can personalise The Churchyard Burial Service with additional proceedings or options such as: Funeral Notices in national newspapers, printed ‘Orders of Service,’ additional vehicles for family and friends, your own choice of coffin and more –please ask or refer to our Pricing Plan – alternatively, phone Penny or Paul on Honiton (01404) 41424.

You are also more than welcome to call into our Honiton Premises during office hours.

The Churchyard Burial Service is fully inclusive of the Funeral Director’s charges AND the disbursements (statutory fees), necessary to carry out the funeral. There are numerous options and choices that can be added for the funeral and some, following the funeral. Family floral tributes are traditionally left at the grave and photographs can be taken a few hours later – light dependant. Headstones and alternative placements (there are rules) are not mandatory and usually not allowed for six months though your requirements can be discussed at any stage or within the time-frame permitted.

Funeral Directors Exeter
Churches in England and Wales have rules nationally and, pertaining to their locality. Variants exist as to the allowable monuments within these churchyards and annexes. The local P.C.C. – Parochial Church Council, is likely to write to you after the funeral has taken place. Generally, memorials are not placed at graves for a six month period but the memorial can be ordered in readiness; Shoobridge Funeral Services will be happy to advise you on local matters.
Additional items, not included, that you may wish to consider are, the providing of:
  • Cars and/or Limousines for transporting immediate family or close friends
  • Printed Orders of Service including family photograph insertion
  • Printed Canvases – photo based depiction for memory or keepsake purposes
  • Funeral notices in a local or national newspaper - pre funeral and post funeral
  • Family floral tributes – “We are regularly in touch with all the local florists.”
  • Catering at a venue of your choice – transport can also be arranged
  • A solid wood or other type of coffin or casket – e.g. wicker, natural material
The Direct Cremation Service, our minimal cremation provision, is subject to FULL payment PRIOR to the funeral service. Our other funeral services are subject to full payment of the Disbursements prior to the funeral service, with the balance invoiced, by us, within 7 days - late payments charges apply after one calendar month. N.B. Sanitization does NOT include embalming or the removal of 'Pacemakers;' these services will be subjected to extra charges.
