St. Andrew's Church, Cullompton

St. Andrew's Church has a long history dating back to 1430 to when the current building was constructed. One of Britain's top one thousand churches, St. Andrew's Church is a Grade One Listed Building.
Although the current incarnation of the church was built in 1430, there had been a church on the site since Saxon times. The church did not take the name of St. Andrew until the fifteen century, with St. Mary being the church's previous patron saint.
A later addition to the church, the Great West Tower was added in 1545-1549 measuring almost one hundred and twenty feet tall. Using locally sourced stone, the tower holds ten bells within with a clock face that is visible from the front of the church.
As a local parish church, St. Andrew's is available for the life events of baptisms, weddings and funerals. For those who have been recently bereaved the church is able to offer additional support during the difficult times.
Operating a range of different groups and services, St. Andrew's serves the congregation and the local community. Their groups includes a toddler group for parents with young children, coffee mornings each Thursday for the local community, as well as a bell ringing group.
Each Sunday the church offers three services to their congregation, with each service aimed at different members with a traditional service at the beginning of the day with less traditional services later on for younger members of the congregation.
