Honiton Family Church is comprised of a typical community congregation with different ages and backgrounds. Based in the heart of Honiton and located on the High Street, the church continues to expand its following with the additional focus on bringing young people into the church.
Regular Sunday morning services come with special facilities in place for children; there is a crèche for those up to 3 years old as well as an engaging group for children between 4 and 11. 'Kids Club' is held during the Sunday morning service.
The church is committed to affecting the local community positively, through each of their individual members. Honiton Family Church has a key emphasis on welcoming people of all ages, and providing ministries that meet each individual's needs through teaching, education and Bible study, often in 'home groups.'
In addition to Sunday worship, the church also organises a range of events throughout the week. The church facilitates community groups in which their members can discuss their faith and aid personal development through interaction and sharing topics with their peers. Their meetings include sessions, in which guest speakers are invited, this leads to and includes the chance to meet other members and share some refreshments.
The church is committed to creating a 'welcoming' environment for everybody, member or not and each week, on Tuesday, market day, the church 'runs' a café with an impressive and affordable range of drinks, sandwiches, hot meals and cakes. The café is operated by a team of volunteers from the church who prepare the food freshly, for serving.
