SHOOBRIDGE FUNERAL SERVICES

"We work with local church administrators to create personal and caring funeral arrangements
for the deceased and their loved ones."

With a history dating back to the Norman era, the parish church of St Lawrence's was mostly rebuilt in the nineteenth century. The church still has features pre-dating the significant restoration project with the font that dates all the way back to the twelfth century and the four bells dating back at the very least to 1553 AD, with the treble bell being dated as being circa 1,400 AD.
Within the church there is an array of oak additions from the 19th century, including a prayer desk, choir stalls, a lectern and a pulpit. The church offers Sunday services throughout the year as well as special services for festivals, including Christmas, Easter, Mothering Sunday, and the harvest festival.
St. Lawrence's Church is part of the Holyford Mission Community, which includes the five churches within Branscombe, Colyford, Colyton, Musbury and Southleigh. The community meet regularly to worship and socialise together in which they always welcome individuals from all different ways of life.
The Holyford Mission Community's churches are there for the congregation and local community for important life events, including weddings, christenings, thanksgivings, confirmation and funerals.
In the event of funeral service the vicar will work with the bereaved to offer care and support, along with guidance.
