Death In A Hospital
Hospital Bereavement staff/Officers, administer proceedings and are responsible for information to and contact with, families or the representative of the deceased. Advice will be given regarding contact with funeral directors, registering the death, wills and pre-paid funeral plans that may be in place. If HM Coroner is involved, the family will be informed, given reasons and any relevant information accordingly.

Despite these thoughts, statistically 8% of people accept their probable death in hospital but 55% actually pass away in hospital! Statistics illustrate just part of the process but practically, we can easily see that hospital administrations are very well practised at dealing with death and as such, all hospitals have set procedures for dealing with the event.
